JOHN NEAL TUCKER
John Neal Tucker, 76, of Alpena went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, March 4, 2023.
John was born Aug. 4, 1946 in Daytona Beach, FL. to the late Gerald and Doris (Higgins) Tucker.
On July 30, 1966 he married the love of his life, Judy Allen at the 1st Baptist Church of Alpena. John enjoyed many things in life including hunting, fishing, and just about anything outdoors. He also had a strong interest for airplanes, and above all else, time spent with family. He retired from GM after 20 years and began a career as an over the road truck driver for 24 years. John spent time for a while in Tennessee where he would fish with his grandson, Texas which he was fond of, and Alaska where he did timbering, and commercial fishing. Known as the human encyclopedia, John had a wealth of knowledge to offer. He will be deeply missed.
John is survived by his wife of nearly 57 years, Judy, his children, Michael (Lily) Tucker, Amanda Evans, and Christina Walters, his sister, Jerrilyn Tucker, eight grandchildren, Jeremy Tucker, Denyse Tucker, Ryan Buzano, Rachel Witherell, Kelsy Buzano, Patrick Walters, Cheyenne Evans, and Susan Stinson, four great-grandchildren, his special sister in-law, Barbara Wilson, his beloved dog, Roary, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his great-granddaughter, Ruby Sue Witherell.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at McWilliams Funeral Home from 11 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Gary Allen officiating. Memorial donations can be made to the family to assist with final expenses.
