JEROME ‘JERRY’ SLOMINSKI

Jerome was born on Sept. 17, 1943 to the late John and Eugenia (Gajsiewicz) Slominski. Jerome served in the United States Army and was stationed in Korea. He married the love of his life, Irene Kamyszek in 1966. Jerome worked for Michigan Consolidated Gas Company/DTE, retiring in 2001. He was an active member of Hunters Harvest For Charity since its inception, enjoyed various outdoor activities, and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Irene; three children, Steve (Lisa) Slominski of Alpena, Sara (Don) Wood of Flushing, and Jason (Jessica) Slominski of Alpena; six grandchildren, Alec, Nathan, Ethan, Maia, Chloe, and Piper; two sisters, Sandi Goebel of Posen, Terri (Rick) Slominski of Levering, and numerous nieces and nephews. Jerome was preceded in death by his parents, John and Eugenia Slominski; brother, Ron Slominski; and sister, Geri Heinlein.

A memorial service will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Hunters Harvest For Charity in Alpena or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
