Francis ‘Frank’ Matthew Kornowski
Francis ‘Frank’ Matthew Kornowski, 90, of Alpena passed away Thursday, March 23, 2023, at home surrounded by his loving family.
Francis was born Aug. 11, 1932, in Alpena to the late Cashmere and Marion (Gezequel) Kornowski. He worked for the City of Flat Rock, retiring in 1994. Frank was an avid Tiger fan and will be remembered for his smile and his friendly manners.
Surviving are his brother, Bill; nieces and nephews, David (Juanita) Lapczynski, Mary (Kim) Muszynski, James (Renee) Lapczynski, Debora (Randy) Suszek, Judy Lapczynski, Michael Lapczynski, Nina TheGreat, Billy Chase; 13 great nieces and nephews; and 16 great-great nieces and nephews.
Frank was preceded in death by his four siblings, Pearl Soltysiak, Catherine Chase, John Kornowski, and Cashmere Kornowski.
Memorial visitation will take place Saturday, April 1, 2023, at St. Anne Church of All Saints Parish from 9:30 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Tyler Bischoff officiating. Arrangements have been made by the Bannan Funeral Home.
