SCHMIDT, Edward R., 86, of Harrisville, died Sunday, March 5, 2023, at Maple Grove Adult Foster Care in Barton City.

Ed is survived by three children, Joe (Josephine) Sr., Antonette Schmidt, and Annette Lee, 12 grandchildren, Joe Jr., Chris (Krystal), Amber, Cassandra, Lance (Teagon), and Ryan (Sandy), Kaylee and Darrian, Josh and Shawn, Ashley, and Stephanie (Joshua), 11 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild on the way, three stepchildren, Sheri (William) DeSmet, Cindy MacNeill, and Arnold (Lorna) Dellar, 16 stepgrandchildren, and one sister.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 11, 2023 from 11 a.m. until the funeral service at 2 p.m. at Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln. Rev. Reeve Segrest will officiate. A meal will follow at the Barton City Eagles Club.
