Dorothea B. Schubbe
Dorothea B. Schubbe, 86, of Fishers, passed away March 17, 2023. She was born Aug. 13, 1936 in Alpena, Michigan, to the late Martin A. and Margaret A. (Hasse) Domke. Dorothea was a graduate of Alpena High School in Alpena, Michigan. She attended Harper College, Chicago and IUPUI-Fort Wayne. Dorothea was a dedicated homemaker to her family. She was a devoted member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church and formerly belonged to Christ the Savior Lutheran Church. Dorothea enjoyed art, painting/drawing, sewing, and shopping.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 25, 2023 from 12 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Fishers-Castleton Chapel, 9900 Allisonville Road, Fishers. Dorothea is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, James, daughter, Dr. Cynthia Becker (Tom); son, Joel J. Schubbe (Sherry); grandsons, Jonathan, Jeffery and Jacob Schubbe; and sister, Emma Nelson. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Fred, Rudy, and Harry Domke; and her sisters, Ruth Wagoner and Violet Robinson.
