SHIRLEY ANN WILDER
Mrs. Shirley Ann Wilder, 91 of Hawks, Michigan died peacefully on Dec. 22, 2022. She was born on March 25, 1931 in Alpena, Michigan to the late John and Muriel (Carns) Keetch. She worked as a secretary for the Alpena County Health Department for 20+ years, retiring in March of 1989. Shirley was a member of the Hillman Free Methodist Church. She was a delegate for the church and taught Sunday school for many years. She was also on the Free Methodist Camp Board and sang in the choir. She enjoyed keeping kids out of mischief, fishing, swimming, and softball. She is and will be deeply missed.
Shirley is survived by her children, Dennis (Laura) Wilder of Hawks; Darwin (Debbie) Wilder of Morgantown, North Carolina; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; brother, John (Sandy) Keetch of Perry; sister, Jackie (Don) Wang of Crossville, Tennessee; daughter-in-law, Jackie Spruill Nee Morris of Williamsburg, Virginia; brother-in-law, Ralph Hilborn of Sevierville, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Muriel Keetch; husband, Arthur; son, Duane; and sisters, Muriel Higly and Geraldine Foor. Shirley’s sister, Phyllis Hilborn also joined her in Heaven on Jan. 4, 2023.
As were her wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial held in celebration of Shirley’s life at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at the Free Methodist Church in Alpena.
