ROBERT DALE ROUSSEAU
Robert Dale Rousseau, 88, of Alma formerly from Alpena, passed away on Monday, Jan. 23, 2023. Robert was born on Nov. 19, 1934, to the late Dale and Lorraine (Snider) Rousseau. He graduated Alpena Senior High School in 1952. Shortly after graduation he married a high school classmate, Jane Stevens, the two of them raised four sons and a daughter.
Robert was employed at General Motors for 42 years as a Tool and Dye Maker and Supervisor. He was a man of faith, a long-time servant and lay reader at Trinity Episcopal Church in Flushing, Michigan and a past master of the Fellowship Lodge in Flint, Michigan. Robert was known for being forgiving and very thoughtful, always putting others before himself. He enjoyed many hobbies, golfing, hunting, fishing, softball, and woodworking, but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Robert is survived by his wife, Jane, five children, Robert Rousseau of Bloomfield Village, Michigan, Steven Rousseau of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, Tim Rousseau of Elko New Market, Minnesota, Jon Rousseau of Smithfield, Rhode Island, Lori Rousseau of Thompson Station,Tennessee, one sister, Mary MacNeil of Midland, Michigan, and ten grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother Jerry Rousseau and a sister Kay Hopper.
Robert has been taken for cremation with a celebration to be held at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of McWilliams Funeral Home. Online condolences can be registered at mcwilliamsfh.com
