MICHAEL DAVID PHINNEY

Mike was born March 19, 1974, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was raised in Alcona County. On May 29, 2001, he married Heather Dunn in Las Vegas. Mike was a member of the Operating Engineers, Local 324. He enjoyed race cars, hunting, and fishing. He loved off roading, riding motorcycles, and doing anything to make his girls happy. He was a member of the Lincoln Lions, and of the Ossineke Eagles Club.

Mike is survived by his wife, Heather Dunn Phinney, his daughter, Miranda “Sissy” Phinney, his parents David and Ruth Phinney, his sister, Jodi (Nathen) Wier, his brother, Ryan Phinney, his father and mother-in-law, Harry and Nancy Dunn, and his sister-in-law, Marnie (Kevin) Bradley, as well as his niece Peyton Wier, and his nephews Lucas and Clark Wier. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Howard and Marjorie Phinney, his aunt Bonnie Phinney, and his niece Mikayla Dunn Mahalak.

There will be an Irish Wake on Monday, Feb. 20 at 6 p.m. at the Village Lanes in Harrisville. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 21 from 12 p.m. until the funeral service at 3 p.m. at Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln. Those wishing to make a memorial donation are encouraged to donate to a fund being established for Mike’s daughter, Miranda.
