JAMES ‘JIMMY’ LEWIS ABEND

James was born Feb. 27, 1974, in Alpena to Arnold and Judith (Higgs) Abend. On Feb. 27, 2008, he married Lisa Fleck. Jimmy owned and operated Quality Lawn Care and mowed lawns and snow plowed most of his life. He did commercial mowing since 2002. Jimmy loved Hubbard Lake, being outdoors, pontooning, and especially spending time with family. Helping people brought him joy. Jimmy loved his past and present dogs including, Phoenix, Kodiak, Ghost, Chloe, Ace, Okami, and Sasha.

Surviving are his wife, Lisa; six children, Joshua (Kady) Emery, Jordan (Kailyn) Kline, Aubrey Abend, Hunter Tolsdorf, Taylor Tolsdorf, Ashlyn Abend; mother, Judy (Gary) Becker; and sister, Rebecca (Dan LaClair) Abend.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his father, Arnold “Bunny” Abend.

Memorial visitation will take place Saturday at Bannan Funeral Home from 11 a.m. until the memorial service at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. Bryan Salminen officiating.
