ALTA MARIE COURTRIGHT

Alta Marie Funk was born April 14, 1947, in Alpena to the late Lester and Wilburta (Brown) Funk. On Feb. 14, 1970, she married Donald Gapske. He preceded her in death on Feb. 11, 1994. She later married Gerald Courtright on Sept. 13, 1997. Alta was a lifetime member of Hillman VFW Auxiliary and Pleasant Valley Free Methodist Church. She enjoyed crocheting and working at Bannan Funeral Home – Hillman.

Surviving are her husband, Gerald; son, Kevin Gapske; three step-children, Bob Courtright, Kim Wright, Jerry (Geri Daniels) Courtright; several stepgrandchildren; brothers, Wilbur (Charlotte) Funk, Roger (Karen) Funk; sister-in-law, Becky Funk; and several nieces and nephews.

Alta was preceded in death by her brother, Lyle Funk; two stepchildren, Donald Courtright and Ronald Courtright.

Visitation will take place Saturday at Bannan Funeral Home – Hillman from 11 a.m. until the VFW Auxiliary at 1 p.m. followed by the funeral service with Pastor Shelley Hadfield officiating.

Interment: Hillman Rust Township Cemetery
