JOHN UDELL SR.
John Wesley Udell Sr., 95, of Alpena passed away at home Jan. 17, 2023 with his loving family at his side.
He is survived by his wife, Merle, seven children, Sandra (David) Witkowski, Deborah Udell, Judith (Robert) Nowicki, Cindy (Ernest) LaMay, Carol (Jerry) Sayan, Robin (Mark) Ipock, and John Udell Jr., 14 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Wesley Sr. and Mildred (McKay) Udell, and his siblings, Luella Cramer, Esther Bedford, William Udell, Albert Udell, Clarence Udell, and Irma Manning Bedford.
There will be a private family graveside service at King Settlement Cemetery to take place at a later date. Memorial donations can be made to the First United Methodist Church of Alpena. McWilliams Funeral Home has assisted the family.
