DONNA MARIE KOWALSKI

Donna was born Feb. 17, 1951 in Alpena to the late Robert and Dorothy (Lamp) Hall. She was a lifelong resident of the Alpena area and a graduate of Alpena High School. On June 28, 1969 she married the love of her life Ronald Kowalski at St. Matthew Lutheran Church. Donna enjoyed bowling, bingo, camping, playing cards, trips to the casino, spending time at hunting camp, and sewing — having made pajamas for the family. She was a long-time member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.

Donna is survived by her children; Robert John (Wendy McDaniel) Kowalski, Nikki McCord, and Jennifer (Tom Donaghy) Kowalski, six grandchildren, Kirsten (Logan) Pines, Matthew Kowalski, Megan Kowalski, Emily Whiteford, Logan DeMarest, and Brady Donaghy, and her siblings, Debra Walker, Bill Hall, and Judy Sanders. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Ronald Kowalski, her brother, Dennis Hall, and her sister, Diane Hall.

Family will receive friends at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church on Thursday, Jan. 26, 2023 from 10 a.m. until the memorial service at 11am with the Rev. Alfred Kersten officiating. Memorial donations can be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church or to the family to assist with final expenses. Inurnment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. McWilliams Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
