DONALD WALTER SZYMANSKI

Donald was born Dec. 4, 1934, in Hamtramck, Michigan to the late Walter and Rose (Wietecha) Szymanski. On Jan. 25, 1991, he married Ruth Wilke. She preceded him in death on June 12, 2017. Donald was a member of Ossineke Eagles, Knights of Columbus, and Alpena Golf Course. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, softball, and basketball.

Surviving are his six children, Donald Szymanski, Karen (Michael) Kobus, Debra (Lawrence) Kudla, Keith (Valerie) Szymanski, David Szymanski, Kenneth (Cynthia) Szymanski; two stepchildren, Carol (David) Catron, Keith (Noreen) Tverberg; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and brother, William (Carol) Szymanski.

Donald was preceded in death by his stepson, Ralph Tverberg, and brother, Thomas Szymanski.

A service will take place at a later time. Cremation arrangements have been made by the Bannan Funeral Home.
