MARY PAT LEONARD

MP was born in Alpena on Oct. 6, 1943 and was a graduate of Alpena Catholic Central High School and Acquinas College. She had retired after working for the State of Michigan at the Alpena MESC office and moved to San Francisco in 2009. MP had lived in Alameda, California since 2012.

MP is survived by her son Michael and daughter-in-law Janet of Kalamazoo, her son John and daughter-in-law Phapada of Alameda, California and her siblings Kathleen Howe, Stephen Howe and Jean Seguin.

There will be no formal service for MP. In lieu of flowers or thoughts and prayers (not her style), please give your dog a pet, maybe have something nice to eat with a glass of wine and, if you’re so inclined, make a donation to your local food bank, animal shelter or Planned Parenthood as these were all causes she supported.
