KENNETH LEO WEILER

Kenneth Leo Weiler, 90, of Alpena passed away peacefully at home Dec. 12, 2022, with his family at his side.

Ken was born May 25, 1932, in Dearborn, Michigan to the late Leo and Eva (McPherson) Weiler. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where he and Dixie Kirchoff were married in 1980. Ken was also a member of the VFW Post 2496, and the Elf Khurafeh Shriners Alpena-Hopper 199. Ken was an avid golfer, enjoying the links in both Alpena and Florida. He was also an exceptional cross stitcher, and cherished spending time with his family. He will be dearly missed.

Ken is survived by his wife Dixie, his children, Joyce Weiler, Robin (Scott) Fitzgerald, Bruce Weiler, Jerry Weiler, Jean (Dave) Connon, and Terry (Sue) Schad, his sister Mary Cvek, 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren. He was preceded by his son, William Weiler, and four siblings, Edna Goca, Peter Dewar, Jim Savage, and Mickey Jamieson.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2022, at St. Paul Lutheran Church – Alpena from 11am until the memorial service at 1pm with the Rev. John Shipman officiating. Military honors will be accorded by the VFW Post 2496 and the U.S. Navy. Memorial denotations can be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church – Alpena. McWilliams Funeral Home is assisting the family.
