GLEN THOMAS GIRARD
Glen Thomas Girard, 57, of Alpena passed away Friday, Dec. 9, 2022, at Hurley Medical Center – Flint as the results of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Glen was born Oct. 22, 1965, in Alpena to the late Clarence and Audrey (LaCross) Girard. He served in the United States Army. He married Sally Smolinski on Sept. 22, 2018. Glen loved working with wood and small engines.
Surviving are his wife, Sally; three children, Brian (Alessandra) Girard, Kyle Girard, Maryssa Girard; grandchild, Kacey; two stepchildren, Roseann (David) Wagner, Phillip (Jessica) Montie II; two step grandchildren, Brandy Padd, Dustin Padd; two brothers, Jeff (Linda Hopkins) Girard and Jamie (Kelly) Girard.
Memorial visitation will take place Thursday at Bannan Funeral Home from 2 p.m. until the memorial service at 7 p.m. with military honors accorded him by Alpena VFW Post 2496 at 5 p.m.
