GERALD ‘PETE’ GEORGE RONDEAU

Gerald “Pete” George Rondeau, 73, of Spruce passed away Thursday, Dec. 15, 2022, at his home.

Born on Feb. 14, 1949, in Alpena to the late Lawrence and Clara (Leesburg) Rondeau and married Vickie Ratz on Aug. 17, 1979. Pete served in the Army National Guard for 20 years and enjoyed running his own sawmill. He enjoyed deer hunting, found joy in the annual fishing trip with family and just spending time in the woods.

He is survived by his wife, Vickie; children, Brenda Hanson, Billi (Rob) Edmonds, Larry (Tara) Rondeau, Joe (Haylee Brinks) Rondeau; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; seven siblings, Leon (April) Rondeau, William Rondeau, Mick (Dawn) Rondeau, Roy (Nancy) Rondeau, Tom (Chris) Rondeau, Barry Rondeau, Ann (Jack) Skuse; sister-in-law, Joyce Rondeau; several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Rondeau was preceded in death by brothers, Dale Rondeau, Terry (Janet) Rondeau and goddaughter, Cassie Newman.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2022, at the Bannan Funeral Home from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. Bryan R. Salminen officiating.

Interment: Hope Cemetery
