MAE KASUBOWSKI

Mae was born July 1, 1930, in Alpena to the late George and Madelyn (Evans) Haken. She was a strong, independent, hard-working person. Mae worked for many years at Tops Lunch before moving on to the Tempo/Big Wheel Department Store and eventually landing at Wal-Mart where she worked from its opening day until her retirement. She was an animal lover who enjoyed gardening and reading.

Mae is survived by her sons, David (Cathy) Egenriether, and Douglas (Carol) Kasubowski, nine grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her husband, Emil Kasubowski, two sons, Allen and Carl Egenriether, and three sisters, Helen McDonald, Annabell Kasubowski, and Wilma Haken.

Family will receive friends on Friday, Nov. 18, 2022, at McWilliams Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Paul Frey officiating. Inurnment will follow at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery.
