KATHLEEN A. ‘CASSIE’ MILLER

Born Oct. 30, 1940, to Raymond and Margaret (Sabo) Brown in Roseville, Michigan she was raised there. She enjoyed family vacations to Barton City as a child. Cassie worked in the Insurance industry and owned and operated a laundromat before retiring to the area in 2001. On Feb. 7, 2004, she married Joseph Miller in Las Vegas. Cassie was a devoted member of the Barton City Community. She had served as the Millen Township Deputy Clerk, and as the treasurer of the Barton City Improvement Association. She was a former board member of the Barton City Eagles Club and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Barton City, where served as the Financial Officer. Cassie enjoyed walking in the woods with her beloved canine companion, Sonny.

Cassie is survived by her husband, Joe, three stepchildren, Lincoln (Molly) Miller, Lisa (Rod) Harris, and Jack (Ellen) Miller, seven grandchildren, Kenton, Krystal and Joseph Miller, Kelsey and Keely Harris, and Riley and Samuel Miller, three great-grandchildren, one sister, Marlene Anderson, and two brothers, Raymond and Ron Brown. She was preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Prcinsa and her brother John Brown.

There will be a memorial service Saturday, Nov. 12, 2022, at Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln at 1 p.m. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. the Rev. Christina Bright will officiate. Memorial donations are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church, Barton City.
