JOHN CHESTER LOSINSKI
John Chester Losinski, age 83, of Warren, Michigan passed away on Oct. 29, 2022. He was a loving husband to Marina for 57 years and a beloved father to his four children, Greg (Kristin), Deann (Keith) Kujawski, Jason (Kari), and Jan (Steven) Gardner. Proud Papa of Dylan (Cedric), Patrick, Kyle, Conner, Cora, Jonathan, Eli, Murphy, Evelyn, Greta and Penny. Also proud great-grandfather to Declan. Dearest brother of Tom (Ann), Julie (John) Kowalski and sister-in-law, Ann. John was preceded in death by his parents John and Anna Losinski and brother Lawrence.
“Big John” was born in Alpena Michigan and graduated from Catholic Central High School. After high school he went on to study at Alpena Community College as a student athlete. He retired from his career as a supervisor at General Motors. What he really loved was his garden, hunting, fishing, playing and watching sports, reading the newspaper, spending time up north and most of all being with his family. His booming voice and loud personality are what made him special. His nickname was not only about his physical size but rather the size of his love that he shared with our world.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of John can be addressed to The St. John’s Ladies Aid or St. Anne Catholic School.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, Nov. 13, 2022 from 3-8 p.m. at E.J. Mandziuk and Son Funeral Home at 3801 18 Mile Road, Sterling Heights, Michigan, 48314. Funeral Mass on Monday, Nov. 14, 2022 at 11 am at St. Anne Catholic Church, 32000 Mound Road Warren, Michigan, 48092.
