IRENE ELIZABETH BEATTIE

Irene was born Nov. 17, 1932, in Port Huron, Michigan to the late Evan and Marjorie (Hall) Pringle. Irene was someone who enjoyed life, was fun to be with, and always presented herself well regardless of the situation. She was an avid reader of westerns and love stories. She was fond of her garden which was full of a variety of flowers. Irene loved Christmas and all the decorating that came with it. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, hosting card parties, and was a member of the Newcomers Club here in Alpena.

Irene is survived by her son, Charles (Debra) Stroh of Deltona, Florida, her daughter, Karen (William) Brenner of Springhill, Tennessee, four grandchildren, Teresa Stroh, Chad Stroh, Paul Brenner, Jay Brenner, eight great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded by her first husband, George Stroh, her second husband, Frank Malenfant, and two siblings, Jo Reed, and Evan Pringle.

A private interment at King Settlement Cemetery will take place. McWilliams Funeral Home has assisted the family.
