DUANE F. MEYERS

Duane was born July 10, 1942, in Alpena to the late Fred and Jennie (Cole) Meyers. Duane loved to stay busy, always tinkering on things in the basement or the garage. He could fix just about anything. Duane loved being outdoors, especially out to camp where he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was a retired lineman from the Alpena Power Company, and a lifetime member of the Church of God in Alpena. Duane was a caring, kind-hearted person with a unique sense of humor and will be dearly missed.

Duane is survived by three daughters, Debra Meyers, Deedra Duranceau, and Donette (David) Meyers-Wagar, his loving companion of 39 years, Carrie Reisener, four grandchildren, Nathan Stickney, Eric Duranceau, Ian Duranceau, and Sophie Wagar, five great-grandchildren, Ryleigh Feliciano, Liam Stickney, Olive Stickney, Lane Duranceau, and Avery Duranceau, his sister, Jeannine McConnell, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Beverly Bedford, and two brother in-laws, Darryl McConnell, and Kenneth Bedford.

Family will receive friends on Monday, Nov. 28, 2022, at McWilliams Funeral Home from 2-4 p.m. with a prayer service led by Pastor Mike Potter beginning at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers please consider a memorial donation to Hospice of Michigan.
