RONALD F. WERNER
Ronald F. Werner, 90, of Alpena passed away peacefully Saturday, Oct. 29, 2022, at Turning Brook assisted living facility. Ron was born Dec. 25, 1931, to the late Martin and Gretchen (Weise) Werner. In 1951, he married Donna L. Sharp who preceded him in death in 2009. Ron retired from Fletcher Paper Company where he was part of their management team. He was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church. His favorite hobbies included golf and tennis.
Ron is survived by his children, Thomas (Lynn) Werner and Jane Werner, his grandchildren Sara (Bob) Doyle, Laura (Eric) Grehl, and Eric Werner, great-grandchildren Landon Doyle, Connor Doyle and Jillian Grehl, his brother William (Isabel) Werner, and his friend and companion Donna Burton. He was preceded in death by brother Melbourne (Betty) Werner, and sisters Florence Dickinson (Gerald Bilton), and Carol (Darrel) Myer.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2022, from 11 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at noon at McWilliams Funeral Home with the Rev. John Shipman officiating. Memorial donations can be made to the charity of your choice in his name. Inurnment will take place at a later date.
