ROBERT AND AGNES MACKIN
Robert Mackin, of Alpena, passed away May 28, 2015, at the age of 75. He was born November 21, 1939, in Manistee, Michigan, to the late Thomas & Helen Mackin.
He was survived by his wife Agnes; daughter Ann (Greg) Harris; two sisters, Mary Ann (Robert) Grabowski of Manistee and Margaret (Rickert) Manuszak of Grand Rapids; special cousin Marie Brooker; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother, John.
Agnes Mackin, of Alpena, passed away Nov. 9, 2021, at the age of 83. She was born June 14, 1938, in Manistee, Michigan to the late John and Mary Ozdych.
She is survived by her daughter, Ann (Greg) Harris, two sisters, Lucille Bailey of Ludington, Kathy (Jerry) Nickelson of Ludington, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert, her sisters, Rosemary Payne and Theresa Edel, her brother, John Ozdych, and two infant sisters, Rita and Patricia.
Robert and Agnes were married in 1960 and moved to the Chicago area to start their family. They returned to Michigan in 1976 to settle in Alpena. They enjoyed weekend rides to the Upper Peninsula, traveling in their motorhome, and occasionally visiting a casino along the way. They simply enjoyed spending time together.
A church service will be held at Divine Mercy Parish (formerly St. Joseph Catholic Church) in Manistee on Oct. 15, 2022 at 12 p.m.
At a later time, inurnment will be at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Manistee.
