FLORA BYE

Flora was an active, outgoing person who dearly loved to golf. She played at courses across the country and on her dream trip to Ireland. A skilled player, she shot three holes-in-one and kept her trophies on prominent display.

After retiring from Alpena General Hospital, Flora moved to a home on a golf course in Whitney, Texas, and could be found daily on the course in her golf cart with her little dogs along for the ride.

Flora was preceded in death by her parents, Gladys and Martin Sullivan; brothers, Walter Sullivan and Forest Sullivan; and her sister, Donna Battin. She is survived by her children Sharon Kelly and David Bye, her grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank the staff and management of Hale Creek Manor and ProMedica Health and Hospice Service for their sensitive and skilled care.

Honoring Flora’s wishes, her ashes will be interred next to her parents at Long Rapids Cemetery. She requested no memorial or service — just fond memories from those who knew her.
