KAREN MAY LANCEWICZ

Karen was born on February 9, 1954 in Alpena, Michigan to Darrell and Virginia Lancewicz. She graduated from Alpena High School and then attended Alpena Community College. She worked for the family business Lancewicz Refuse & Trucking Company and had her own daycare where she cared for children for over 10 years.

Karen is survived by her son Jesse (Jessica) Lancewicz; granddaughters Leilia and Logan Lancewicz; brother Mark Lancewicz and sister Linda Krentz. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Dorothy “Sue” Lancewicz and brothers Darrell Lancewicz Jr. “Rat”, John Lancewicz “Bones” and Timothy Lancewicz.

She will be laid to rest in Evergreen Cemetery in Alpena with her parents on Tuesday, Sept. 6, at 1 p.m.
