JASON PHILIP MELLEN

Jason was born May 22, 1985, in Taylor, Texas to Terry and Suzanne (Miller) Mellen. Jason was born with cerebral palsy and though he couldn’t express himself with words, his big personality allowed him to communicate his love for life. Jason enjoyed being on the farm and riding on the tractor. His adventurous personality enjoyed the opportunity to ride in a race car at the Onaway Speedway. Jason was an ambassador for March of Dimes, a recipient of the Young Heroes Award, and loved his time at Pied Piper School where he was active in the school plays.

Jason is survived by both parents, his sisters, Marie Mellen, Chloe Mellen, and Eva Mellen, his grandpa, Gerald Mellen, his grandma, Ellie Moll, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded by his grandpa, Richard Miller, and his grandma, Ethel Mellen. A special thank you to Kim Miller (Greg), and aunt Sandy Garrison for their many years of exceptional care.

Family will receive friends at McWilliams Funeral Home on Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2022, from 3 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 6 p.m. with the Rev. Leslie Nye officiating. Online condolences can be registered at mcwilliamsfh.com
