FLOYD ‘STEVEN’ LOCKWOOD

Steven was born May 29, 1956, in Alpena to the late Floyd and Virginia (Fournier) Lockwood. On Aug. 10, 1979, he married Marie Sobczak. Steven retired from the Alpena County Sheriff Department in 1995 and served on HUNT, Dive Team, and K-9 Unit. He was a member of All Saints Parish and enjoyed living and fishing on Long Lake. Steven was proud of the men his sons have become.

Surviving are his wife, Marie; two sons, Steven (Elysia) Lockwood, Jon (Marie) Lockwood; three grandchildren, James, Austin, Adalynn; five siblings, Linda Domke, Susan (David) Skibbe, Lanny Lockwood, Dewain Lockwood, Peggy (Greg) Michalek; brother-in-law, Leonard Precord; special cousin, Seth Lockwood; and many nieces and nephews.

Steven was preceded in death by sister, Mary Kaye Precord.

Memorial visitation will take place Sunday at Bannan Funeral Home from 2 p.m. until the memorial service at 5 p.m. with Deacon Michael Roy officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the E.U.P or dementia equipment to be purchased for Medilodge of Sault Ste. Marie.
