PHYLLIS WAGNER
Phyllis Wagner age 92, died Aug. 9, 2022, at Jamieson Nursing Home in Harrisville, Michigan. She was born in Detroit, Michigan to the late Ernest and Phyllis Reed. Predeceased by her brother Ernie Reed and her sister Joyce McCaffrey.
Raised in Detroit by her parents, Phyllis graduated from Denby High School in 1948. She married her high school sweetheart and future Detroit Police Lieutenant Steven J. Wagner in 1950. Together they raised their four children in a loving and sharing environment while Phyllis worked as a teller at The National Bank of Detroit.
After Phyllis and Steven retired, they became snowbirds, spending the warm months in Harrisville located in the beautiful woods of Northeast Michigan. When the snow came, they spent their time in sunny Florida with many of their friends in the New Port Richey area.
Phyllis loved growing flowers and feeding her wild birds. She always had a great sense of humor. What Phyllis loved most however was her family.
Phyllis is survived by four children Steven and his spouse Sunday, Thomas and his spouse Cindy, Gail and her spouse Donald McKenzie, and Susan Kiss. She has four grandchildren Andrew, Bridget, Michelle, and Rene. In addition, Phyllis has six great-grandchildren, Monica, Abby, Matthew, Nathan, Micah, and Makiyah. She was preceded in death by her husband, Steven on April 6, 2014.
Phyllis will be dearly missed by her friends and the Wagner Family for the depth of her love and the warmth of her heart. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Alzheimer’s Association https://act.alz.org/donate.
