ALAN PAUL ADRIAN II
Adrian II, Alan ‘Al’ Paul, 49, of Alpena, was wrapped in the Lord’s arms and taken to heaven suddenly on Monday, Aug. 29, 2021.
Alan was born in Long Beach, California, the youngest of two children born to Alan and Florence Adrian. During his childhood he loved being outside-be it baseball, fishing, camping, or riding bikes with the other neighborhood kids. His summers, growing up, were spent with his closest cousins Allen Clark and Aaron; their favorite pastime being tormenting Alan’s older sister.
Al graduated from Alpena High School in 1991 and soon began working as a merchant seaman. His love for family and cars led him to work alongside his father and best friend Alan I for many years at Cathro Auto, the family business. He then became a service technician at Young’s Appliance, thriving in a setting that involved using his hands to solve problems and fix things.
Alan was blessed with three children: Dailen, Allie and Berklee. His smile would light up the room when he bragged about them to others or was able to hunt and target practice with Dailen, watch Allie’s dance recitals or cheer on Berklee at his soccer games. As the years passed Alan continued to love the outdoors; spending time riding quads with his kids, golfing and playing horseshoes with his father, attending trout camp with his buddies, working on his deer blind in anticipation of the next buck, and hanging out at the family pool.
He is survived by three children, Dailen, Allie, and Berklee, his parents Alan I and Florence, one sister Brandie (Randy) Gapske, nephew Jacob Gapske, niece Lauren Gapske, world’s best dog friend Axle, and many treasured family members and friends.
Alan is at McWilliams Funeral Home where visiting hours will be held on Friday, Sept. 2, 2022, from 4-8 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 3, 2022 from 10-11 a.m. with a prayer service starting at 11 a.m. Online condolences can be registered at mcwilliamsfh.com
