Richard Lee Rang, 79, of Lachine passed away Thursday, June 16, 2022, at his home surrounded by his family.
Richard was born in Toledo, Ohio on Aug. 11, 1942, to the late Robert and Alice (Braun) Rang. On Oct. 15, 1977, he married Phoebe Boatwright. Dick worked for the Department of Transportation for the State of Michigan for 43 years retiring in 2006. When he wasn't working, he enjoyed fishing as a charter fishing captain owning Lake and Streams Charters. He was a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church and helped with Feeding Kids Ministry.
Surviving are his wife, Phoebe; three children, Kendra (John) Barak, Eric Rang, Phoebe (Pat) Fountain; three grandsons, Benjamin (Victoria) Barak, Reilly Barak, Parker Fountain; one great-granddaughter, Marleigh Barak; two siblings, Thomas (Karen) Rang and Barbara (Larry) Piotter.
Cremation arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home. Memorial visitation will take place Monday, July 18, 2022, at Resurrection Lutheran Church from 10 a.m. until the memorial service at 12 p.m. with the Rev. Herbert Kitzman officiating.
