DAVID FLOYD PARKS
David Floyd Parks, 82, of Alpena, passed away on Friday, July 22, 2022 at his home. He was a wonderful husband, loving father, fun brother, and compassionate grandfather who will be dearly missed.
David was born on July 28, 1939 to the late Thelma Roberts in Detroit, Michigan. David worked for many years at Uniflex Corporation as a Supervisor until his retirement. On April 24, 1965 David married the love of his life Judith Waelchli at St. Catherine Catholic Church in Detroit. There were many things that David enjoyed doing such as gardening, which he was very good at, watching and supporting the Detroit Lions, and the Detroit Tigers, and he loved to throw horseshoes. But what brought him the greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. David had a unique ability to make new friends. He loved to talk to others and get to know everyone who crossed his path.
David is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Judy, two daughters, Laura (Ray) Werda of Lachine, Colleen Eisele of Alpena, a son Daryl Parks of Herron, 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, a brother, Dennis Parks, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, David W. Parks, his parents, George and Thelma Parks, and a sister, Joanne Goncheroff.
Family will receive friends for memorial visitation at Karpus Hunter & Ross Funeral Home on Thursday, July 28, 2022 from 4 p.m. until the time of service at 7:30 p.m. with Deacon Michael Roy officiating. In lieu of flowers please consider a memorial donation to Friends Together. Online condolences may be registered at karpushuntercares.com
