DARLENE JOYCE MARSHALL

Darlene was born June 8, 1941, in Alpena to the late William and Hulda (Hartman) Marshall. She married Delmar Marshall on May 26, 1962. She worked at the Hallmark store for many years before retiring in 2004. She was a member of the VFW Post 2496 where she really enjoyed her bingo. Darlene also enjoyed trips to the casino, bowling, crossword puzzles, game shows, camping trips, gardening, and time spent with her family.

Surviving are her 4 daughters, Lisa (Dan) Jackson, Sally (Erik) Ryberg, Jackie (Dennis Kamae) Marshall, and Amy Jackson, three siblings, Robert Nelson, Gayle (John) Marshall, and Linda Kelly, seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her two infant children, Lori Lynn, and David Delmer Marshall, and two brothers, Ervin and Willard Nelson.

Cremation arrangements have been handled by McWilliams Funeral Home. A private graveside service will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Michigan or Medilodge – Alpena Activities Department.
