ANN MARIE KROLL
Ann Marie Kroll was born April 9, 1947 in Alpena, MI to Joseph and Marie Klemens. She passed away July 5, 2022 after a brief illness.
Ann was a 1965 graduate of Alpena High School. On April 20, 1968, she married David Kroll and together they made their way to Lansing, Michigan to live, work and start their family. Ann spent 30 years within the Lansing School District as a teacher’s aide in the pre-primary special education department. After retiring from the school district, she worked at Walmart for another 10 years before retiring permanently to enjoy life.
Ann loved gambling and thoroughly loved her casino and Las Vegas trips. She was an avid book reader. She also enjoyed playing board games with her kids and grandson and was sometimes a decent “rummy” card player. Once a busy crafter, her weekends would be spent on the “craft show circuit” selling her wares alongside longtime crafting buddy, Judy Tickle.
Ann and her husband Dave enjoyed playing Keno and sharing meals out with longtime family friends George and Marlina Wisniewski, where they all competed to “win big”.
Ann’s favorite thing to do in life, always, was to spend time with her only grandson Parker, whom she loved dearly.
Ann is survived by her husband, Dave, of 54 years of Lansing, Michigan, daughter, Lynn Kroll of East Lansing, son, Edward Kroll of Charlotte, and her most treasured person on earth, grandson, Parker Kroll of Charlotte. Her siblings include Margaret Klemens of Lansing, Joe Klemens of Alpena, and Liz (Peter Muszynski) Klemens of Alpena. Her sisters-in-law are Alice Kroll of Alpena, Patricia (Jack) Robbins of Hubbard Lake and Theresa (James) Srebinski of Midland. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
A Memorial Service will take place at the Palmer Bush & Jensen Family Funeral Homes 520 E Mt. Hope Ave, Lansing Michigan, 48910 on Tuesday, July 12, 2022. Visitation will start at 4 p.m. with services at 5 p.m.
