WAYNE ALFRED PAKE

Wayne was born on Nov. 11, 1941, in Alpena to the late George R. and Linda R. (Kirschner) Pake. On Oct. 22, 1971, he married Holly Keiser. He worked for the cement companies (Huron Cement, National Gypsum and Lafarge) for 40 years while managing terminals along the Great Lakes and in various locations in the United States and Canada. Wayne enjoyed fishing, hunting, and traveling. He had a kind smile, could fix anything, and was the frequent go-to-person for technical advice. Wayne’s greatest joy was spending time with his wife, family, and friends in Michigan and Arizona.

Wayne is survived by his wife of 50 years, Holly, children, Stuart (Tonya) Pake, Kharah (Tom) Lombardi, grandchildren, Kristopher Toy, Chase Lombardi, Crew Lombardi, Cate Lombardi; brother, George (Betty) Pake, sister, Harriet Burke, nephews, Jon Pake, David Pake, Alan Burke, his closest cousin, Hugo (Kris) Burzlaff.

Wayne was preceded in death by his daughter, Pamela Pake.

A small family memorial service has taken place. Arrangements have been made by Bannan Funeral Home.
