SHARIN ANN PURSLEY
Sharin Ann Pursley, 86, of Alpena, passed away at home Tuesday, June 15, 2022, with her children at her side.
Sharin was born Oct. 22, 1935, in Pontiac, Michigan to the late Lloyd and Vera (Woodhaul) Mayo. Sharin resided in Arizona for over 30 years before returning to Alpena at her daughter’s passing in 1996. Sharin was an excellent seamstress owning her own business for over 60 years. She also worked at Myers’ Furs and Fashion for over 17 years. Sharin loved animals, cooking and baking, often gifting her delicious food to others. She was an active part of Alpena Free Methodist Church where she shared in the love of Christ. She will be dearly missed by many.
Sharin is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Gene) Koss, and her son Dan (Ann Hayward) Wilton, three siblings, Lloyd Mayo, Nancy Langford, Barbara Mayo, seven grandchildren, Josh Morasky, Travis Morasky, Kyle (Rachael) Morasky, Jennifer (Curtis) Toby, Matt Wilton, Kate Wilton, Jordan (Danielle) Wilton, five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Pursley, her daughter, Vicki Slack, and her brother, Lt. Col. Robert Mayo.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at Alpena Free Methodist Church at 11 a.m. with an hour of visitation prior to. Pastor Rich George will be officiating. McWilliams Funeral Home is assisting the family. Inurnment: Evergreen Cemetery
