ROBERT WESLEY MEYER

Bob was born Dec. 9, 1931, in Wolf Creek to the late William and Clara (Kindt) Meyer. Bob always put his family first, but a close second was his work. He owned and operated Alpena Crane Rental for many years. Bob and his wife Verna enjoyed driving their motorhome down to Florida every winter. He also loved spending time at his hunting camp.

Bob is survived by his wife of 67 years, Verna (Hanson), his daughter, Donna, and her husband Patrick Green of Presque Isle, his two sons, Donald of Hubbard Lake, and Wesley of Alpena, four grandchildren, Jeremie (Stacy) Amwake, Cole (LeAnn) Meyer, Lisa (Erin) Meyer, Katie (Andrew) Blaine, four great-grandchildren, Kennedy, Addison, Ireland, and Christopher, his sister in-law, Marlene Jobson, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Wiiliam, an infant sister, Rosalie, and three brother in-laws, Ivan, Raymond, and Lester Hanson.

Per his wishes Bob has been taken from McWilliams Funeral Home for cremation with no services. Memorial donations can be made to Huron Humane Society. Online condolences can be registered at mcwilliamsfh.com
