DWIGHT J. WEHOFER
WEHOFER, Dwight J.; of Fenton formerly of Alpena. He was called to his Heavenly home unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 15, 2022; age 75; born Jan. 4, 1947; husband of Pamela (nee Trainer) for 32 years; step father of Heather (Gary) Lindsey and Holly (Scott) Brown; grandpa of Mariah (Ryan) Rhodes, Maranda (Joe Burroughs) Martin, Mallary Martin, Cameron (Marla) Englund, Gabrielle (Grant Bingley) Englund, Danielle Brown, Kyle ( Brena Clarey) Brown and Caden Brown; great-grandpa of Tanner, Rylee and Denver; brother of Audrey (Lynn) Laskowsky; uncle of Andrew Laskowsky, Emily Laskowsky Finke (Christopher) Brody, Brock Finke, and Allsbrook Laskowsky; also survived by many other nieces, nephews and extended family members; preceded in death by his parents Paul and Clara Wehofer and his brothers: William (Joyce) and Wayne (Barbara). Dwight served in the U.S. Army and retired from General Motors as an automotive technician at the Milford Proving Grounds. He enjoyed all things outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and spending time with family at Hubbard Lake. He was a member of the Consolidated Hunting League and formerly worked with his father in Alpena, Wehofer’s Bakery. Dwight loved many faithful companions in his lifetime, including his current dog: Scout. Arrangements entrusted to Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston. A cemetery service with military honors will be held Tuesday, June 28 at 9 a.m. at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly.
