JANE E. MATTHES

Jane Elizabeth Mills was born Oct. 9, 1942, to the late Otis and Vina (Prevo) Mills and married Terry L. Matthes at St. Rose of Lima Church in Herron on Oct. 20, 1962. He preceded her in death on June 16, 2016. She loved to play bingo, going to casinos, and was a proud member of Alpena Eagles #1241 and All Saints Parish. She would always strike up a pleasant conversation with almost anyone.

Surviving are her four sons, Steven Matthes, Christopher Matthes, Michael Matthes, Daniel (Angie) Matthes; four grandchildren, Heather Ryan, Nicholas Matthes, Joseph Matthes, Brendan Matthes; sister, Phyllis Monette; brothers, Arnold (Sandy) Mills, her twin Gene Mills, John (Kathie) Mills; sister-in-law, Toni Allain; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jane was preceded in death by sisters, Cicilia Rouleau, Dorothy Scott; brothers, Otis Mills Jr., Louis Allain, Arlyn Mills, and Irving Allain.

Visitation will take place Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at Bannan Funeral Home from 2-8 p.m. with a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at St. Anne Church of All Saints Parish from 10 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Tyler Bischoff officiating.

Interment: St. Rose of Lima Cemetery
