CONSTANCE ‘CONNIE’ WIESCHOWSKI

Constance ‘Connie’ Wieschowski, age 83, of Alpena, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 17, 2022 at her home. Connie was born on June 10, 1938 to the late Ray and Irma (Rockey) Skiba, in Alpena. She married Robert Wieschowski on Jan. 10, 1959 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

After graduating, Connie worked as a telephone operator at GTE and retired after many years of service. Connie’s Catholic faith was a priority throughout her life. She was an active member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church of All Saints Parish, St. Anne’s lady’s sodality, and a St. Anne’s choir member for over 50 years. She enjoyed playing golf, garage saling, decorating, volunteering, and spending time with her family.

Connie is survived by her four children, Michael, Gregg, Karen of Alpena, and Rob (Erin) Wieschowski of Naples, Florida, nine grandchildren, Sarah (Jason) Sylvester, Ryan Wieschowski, Brandon (Danielle) Wieschowski, Kristen (Jason) Keen, Jenna Wieschowski (Brandon Trainer), Matthew Wieschowski (Natalie Nowakowski), Drew Wieschowski (Maria Addelia), Christopher Wieschowski, and Kathryn Ayers, two great-granddaughters, Eva Trainer, and Madilynn Wieschowski, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Connie was preceded in death by her husband Bob, sisters Marilyn, Betty, infant sister Mary, and brothers Doug and David.

Family and friends may gather at the Karpus Hunter & Ross Funeral Home on Sunday, April 24, 2022 from 2 p.m. until the time of Prayer Service at 7 p.m. with Deacon Michael Roy officiating. Visiting will continue at St. Mary’s Catholic Church of All Saints Parish on Monday April 25, 2022 from 9 a.m. until the time of funeral mass at 10 a.m. with Father Tyler Bischoff officiating.
