WILLIAM (TONY) ANTHONY KUCHAREK

Tony was born July 14, 1943, in Detroit to the late Chester and Evelyn (Koontz) Kucharek. Tony served as a paratrooper for the U.S. Army for four years and came home to Alpena where he met and fell in love with Judy Martell who he married Nov. 27, 1971. Tony and Judy settled down in Alpena and had four children. Tony worked at Thunder Bay manufacturing until he retired in 2007 and spent the rest of his time tinkering, gardening, and loving his family, especially Judy, the love of his life.

Tony was preceded by his parents, and his son, Michael Paul Kucharek. He is survived by his loving wife and companion Judy, three children, William (Bill) and Melanie Kucharek, Dan (Heidi) Kucharek, and Lori Kucharek (Duane Werda), his siblings, Chester (Pat) Kucharek, Lucy (Rick) Crofton, Jim (Maryann) Kucharek, his grandchildren, Hailey Kucharek, Samantha Kucharek, Emily Werda, Dylan Kucharek, and two great-grandchildren, Carter Wyman, and AJ.

Family is planning a private Celebration of Life for friends and family as Tony requested. McWilliams Funeral Home has assisted the family.
