PHILIP RENE LaHAIE
Philip Rene LaHaie, 83, of Alpena passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, Feb. 21, 2022, at MyMichigan Medical Center — Midland.
Philip was born on Aug. 31, 1938, in Alpena to the late Rene and Mary Ethel (Poirier) LaHaie. On Sept. 23, 1961, he married Lorraine Prieur. He worked at Lafarge for 40 years, retiring in 2003. Philip was a member of All Saints Parish and enjoyed woodworking.
Surviving are his wife, Lorraine; four children, Philip (Cori) LaHaie Jr., Eric (Reina) LaHaie, Lisa (Hans) Hatopp, Nicole (Dan) Kaiser; eight grandchildren, Erica LaHaie, Annette LaHaie, Aaron (Alyssa) Hatopp, Andrew (Katie) Hatopp, Alex Hatopp, Emma Hatopp, Jessica Kaiser, Curtis (Sabrae) Kaiser; great-grandson, William Hatopp; two siblings, William (Sharron) LaHaie and Mary Ellen LaHaie. He was very much loved by his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Visitation will take place Monday at St. Anne Church of All Saints Parish from 10 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 12 p.m. with the Rev. Tyler Bischoff officiating. Arrangements have been made by Bannan Funeral Home.
Interment: Holy Cross Cemetery
