WILLIAM L. FOX

William was born Oct. 4, 1932 in Harrisville, Michigan the son of Herbert and Hazel Fox. Bill attended and graduated from Alpena High School and went onto the University of Michigan as an undergraduate student and then onto the University of Michigan Medical School. He served his internship and residency at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. Dr. Fox then opened his own successful private practice in Alpena, Michigan. As an OB-GYN, Dr. Fox delivered many babies in the Alpena area and surrounding communities over his 35 years of practice. Bill was a member of various organizations both professional and local in Alpena. He very much enjoyed teaching his nieces and nephews how to fish and sail.

His wife Beatrice, his brother Robert Sanford and his nieces and nephews survive Bill. Memorial donations may be offered to “MyMichigan Health Foundation Women’s Health Unit 1501 W.
