JAMES EDWARD HAWKINS

James was born on Aug. 15, 1941, in Alpena to the late George and Loverta (Wilds) Hawkins. He served in the United States Army. James retired from A&L Iron & Metal after over 25 years. He was a member of Ossineke Eagles, founding member of Alcona Classic Tractor & Engine Club, and Ausable Valley Engine & Tractor Club.

Surviving are his wife, Karen, two children, Teresa (Jay) Bryant, Joe (Lisa-Mae) Hawkins, five grandchildren, McKenzie Bryant, Rebecca (Joseph Justo) Bryant, Karen (Baylor) Wagnor, Rose Mulholland, Dakota Mulholland, three siblings, Janet Dill, Linda (Peter) Rasmussen, and Lenard Bates.

Mr. Hawkins was preceded in death by infant twins, George Edward, James Edward, three siblings, Phyllis Watchorn, Terry Bates, and Gary Bates.

Visitation will take place Saturday at Bannan Funeral Home from 12 p.m. until the funeral service at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Seok Nam Lim officiating. Military honors to follow by Alpena V.F.W. Post 2496.
