WILLIAM ‘BILL’ C. HARMON
William ‘Bill’ C. Harmon 76 passed away peacefully at his home in Houston, Texas. on Nov. 8, 2021. He was born Feb. 3, 1945 to the late Clayton and Bertha (McGuire) Harmon of Mikado.
Bill, a loving husband and father, was a class “A” machinist by trade although his true passion was caring for his classic Chevys. When weather prevented him from tinkering with his cars he could be found playing his guitar or painting nature landscapes. He enjoyed attending car shows, swap meets, camping and Gospel and Bluegrass along with classic country music.
Bill is survived by his wife Anna, his three children, Karl Harmon of Alpena, Roxane Ford (Michael Shaw) of Hubbard Lake, and Angela (Nicholas) Belanger of Alpena, stepdaughters Barbara Varnado and Lorinda (Colin) Hughes. Grandchildren Andrew (Jessica) Harmon, Alanie (Kaleb) Sager, Brandan Puckett, Adam and Noah Belanger, Chloe Harmon, Joshua Varnado, Dustin Varnado, TiffIany Varnado, Michael Varnado, Angelina Varnado. Great-grandchildren include Kira Harmon, Aurora, Adaline and Aria Sager. He also leaves behind a brother Thomas Harmon of Mikado, and a beloved dog Penny that was always by his side.
A graveside service will take place at the Mikado cemetery in the early summer.
