DEBRA MARIE LAHMAN

Debra Marie Lahman, 65, of Lachine, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 25, 2021, at MidMichigan Medical Center. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt that will be dearly missed. Debbie was born on March 14, 1956, to the late Carl and Darlene (Smith) Bailey in Bellville, Michigan. Being one of 10 children, Debra quickly learned the art of caregiving and housekeeping which led to her career at MediLodge of Hillman. She worked there for 21 years until her retirement. After her retirement, Debbie spent as much time with her family as she could, especially her grandchildren. It was the little things in life that she adored such as thrift shopping, going on women’s retreats with her church group going to her favorite place to eat (Golden Corral), but what brought her the most joy was watching her children and grandchildren open presents on Christmas morning. She lived for times like this and cherished every moment she could with her family. She loved dolphins, labradors, and watching Steven Segal or Elvis (They always brought a smile to her face).

Debra joined hands in marriage with Paul Lahman in December of 1988. They shared over 32 wonderful years of marriage and raising a family together.

She is survived by her husband Paul, children, Marie (Leo) Villeneuve, Arnold (Amber) Lahman, stepchildren, Paul Lahman Jr. (Ann), Jennifer (Sambo) Barnett, Holly Lahman, three grandchildren, Jeremiah, Cheyenne, and Emma, nine stepgrandchildren two brothers, Gary, and Mike Bailey, four sisters, Carol (Richard) Depas, Marilyn Bieszk, Donna Bieszk, and Diane Vance, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Elwood and Jim Bailey, and a sister, Judy Bailey.

Family will receive friends for visitation at McWilliams Funeral Home on Friday, Dec. 3, 2021, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Visiting will continue Saturday at Greely Baptist Church (14622 M-32, Lachine, Michigan, 49753) from 11 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 1 p.m. with Pastor Bruce Rubin officiating. Interment will take place in the spring at Spratt Cemetery. Online condolences may be registered at mcwilliamsfh.com
