FRED E. HART

Fred was born on February 3, 1943 in Elarado, Michigan to Daniel and Marjorie (Hartman) Hart. On Feb. 11, 1961 he married Judy Thomas and together they raised three children and enjoyed 60 years of marriage. Fred sailed for Inland Management on the S.S. Alpena, retiring in 2011.

He is survived by wife, Judy, daughters, Sierra Joanne Heinzel (George) of Presque Isle, Michigan, Connie Elizabeth Hart of Alpena, and Marjorie Lee Dahn (Larry Skiba) of Alpena, six grandchildren, Stacy Dahn, Randy Taylor, Joshua Suszek, Jeffery DuBray, Shanda Stosik and Glynda Chamie, as well as eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by grandson, Kyle Suszek, two brothers, Patrick H. Hart and Russel Hart, and one sister, Sarah J. Paad.

Per his wishes, he has been taken from Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home for cremation. There will be no services. Condolences may be made to the family at karpushuntercares.com
