ALLEN RODRICK THOMPSON
Allen Rodrick Thompson passed away peacefully Tuesday, 9/22/2021. He was born in Cheboygan, Michigan, April 10, 1929. He served his country when drafted into the Army Jan. 3, 1951, to Dec. 18, 1952. He was a loving and devoted husband to Shirley Thompson for 57 years. Allen was blessed with five daughters, Theresa (Wright) Bussey, Shirley Wright, Kim (Wright) St. Charles, Alison (Thompson) Wachowski, and Amy (Thompson) Brisson.
Allen’s love for his 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren was immense. Allen spent most of his career and retired from Besser Company. Allen and Shirley spent their retirement wintering in warm, sunny, Ft. Myers, Florida and beautiful summers in Alpena, Michigan. Allen was always up for a good gathering of family and friend. He enjoyed music of all genres, especially live! Allen had the best stories and jokes. He shared his love of travel with his family traveling all over the United States and Canada.
The family is planning a private celebration of his life filled with good food, good drink, and joyful music.
McWilliams Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
