NICK LAWRENCE KAMINSKE

Mr. Nick Lawrence Kaminske, 72 of Atlanta, Michigan died peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Aug. 14, 2021. He was born in Mt. Clemens, Michigan on March 27, 1949 to the late Arthur and Irene (Medici) Kaminske. He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Nick married his wife, Judith (Zanoni) Kaminske on Aug. 23, 1991 and together the couple celebrated 29 years of marriage before his passing. Nick worked as a meteorologist for the National Weather Service at the Alpena Regional Airport and also worked as a civilian contractor weather supervisor for CRTC. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed chasing storms, hunting, and fishing. In his younger years he played football and participated in wrestling throughout high school. He was musical and played both the violin and guitar. When his son, Sean, was little he coached the peewee football team. Nick loved to work on computers and small electronics, as well as home projects and anything with building or automotive. He was an excellent husband and a loving father and will be deeply missed.

Nick is survived by his loving wife, Judith Kaminske, son, Sean Kaminske, daughters, Tami (Tim) Kelley, Mary (Nicholas) Krautner, nine grandchildren, brothers, Richard Kaminske, Bill (Vicki) Kaminske, and sisters, Ilene (Al) Lannoo, Kathy (Joe Brown) Kaminske, 14 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Ilene Kaminske; brothers, Mark, Arthur, and Christopher.
