BETTY LYNN ALLEN
Betty Lynn Allen, 62, of Ossineke, passed away unexpectedly, surrounded by her family on Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at MidMichigan Medical Center Alpena. Betty was born Jan. 8, 1959, in Flint, Michigan. She is the daughter of the late Leonard and Alice (Barger) Green. She married Walter Allen, of Lachine on Nov. 1, 1975. Betty stayed home and raised seven children and helped raise many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. She loved reading and her coffee. Betty enjoyed spending time with her family and cooking.
Betty is survived by her husband Walter Allen, of Ossineke and their seven children: Timothy (Meghan) Allen, of Ossineke, Monica (Dan) Weaver, of Alpena, Quentin Allen, of Ossineke, Felisha Allen, of Ossineke, Crystal Allen, of Flint, Sharon Allen, of Ossineke, and Courtney Allen, of Ossineke, 15 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, her four siblings, Mary Jo (Don) Henderson, of Flushing, Vicky Stone, of Venice, Florida, and David (Janet) Green, of North Port, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents Leonard and Alice Green, and a sister Janet Arnold.
Betty is at McWilliams Funeral Home where memorial visitation will be held on Friday, July 23, 2021, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a prayer service starting at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue Saturday at St. Catherine Catholic Church in Ossineke from 10 a.m. until the time of Memorial Mass at 11 a.m. with the Rev. John William officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family to support Betty’s two youngest daughters’ education at All Saints Catholic School. The mass will be live streamed at mcwilliamsfh.com where online condolences may also be registered.
